What type of personal data we have

We currently collect and process the following information:

Name, address, email address, telephone number(s).

 

How do we get the information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you from the Membership Permit and/ or sign in sheet that you complete to use the Ride.

We also obtain any missing postcodes and address details from the Royal Mail online Postcode Finder.

Under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) the lawful basis we rely on to process this information is that we have a legitimate interest to do so.

From March 2019, we are beginning to process information on the basis of informed consent.

 

What we do with the information that we have

We use the contact information that you have given us to:

• Provide you with information about the ride and any price changes.

• Contact you or someone at your home while using the ride in the event of an emergency (for example if your horse returns without you).

• Contact you if you leave any personal belongings.

• Contact you in relation to the management and operation of the Ride.

We may share this information with third parties only for the purpose of managing the Ride. We do not share this data with anyone else for any other purpose.

 

How we store your data

Your information is securely stored at Denne Hill Farms.

We store your contact information for 5 years after you last rode at Denne Hill, or your last Permit expires (whichever date is latest). If you last rode at Denne Hill prior to March 2019 and we do not have a record of the date, we will securely dispose of your data (shredding paper information, and deleting electronic records) 5 years from March 2019.

 

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing – You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
